I Shouldn't Have Come Back

Dasha's POV

I didn't know it would be so painful. I shouldn't have gone back to the house pack then, I should have just stayed at my parents' house.

Even if it was run down and messy because it hadn't been lived in for a while, I could have cleaned it up and started a new life there, right?

"Helen, why was I so stupid to come back to this pack?" I began to ask the wolf in me again.

"You don't have to ask me, you know the answer. But your feelings for Alpha Edmon are too strong."

Helen's answer had a point. Now my hopes were dashed as the news of Rachel's pregnancy filled every corner of the packhouse.

"You're right Helen, maybe even now Mom and Dad will forget about me more and more. My position will be replaced by their real grandchildren."

"Feel sorry for yourself, Dasha. I can't deny that either," Helen said.
