16. MAKE ME UNDERSTAND

Benhail groaned tiredly as he stepped into the living room, he flopped on the couch and his mind drifted to the thing Mariana told him about the demand for blue wine drooping. They still hadn't gotten the sweetener that tasted like the ones they used and the embargo persisted. He rubbed his temples in worry and shut his eyes.

"Good evening," Agnes greeted him.

"Agnes," he called weakly.

"Your food is ready if you want to eat first before having a shower." She said.

Benhail smiled, he loved how the woman always took care of him and made sure that he was alright. He purposely chose her when several people applied for the job. He saw her as responsible and he felt it would be nicer to have someone older around him. Agnes hadn't failed him since he employed her, she's been the best choice.
