17. I THOUGHT WE GOT TIME

Emery didn't fancy the fact that she had to stay at home every day, doing nothing, but Benhail insisted that she didn't work. She had talked about it to him over and over again, but he just didn't agree with her suggestions.

It's been three weeks and he has changed so much—he talked more to her. Though he still didn't reveal things about himself, he spent more time with her. He stopped acting hostile towards her. Emery felt his actions were just to make her feel good and he didn't mean to be nice, but she didn't want to care. All she wanted to care about was the fact that he's changed and was now being good to her.

"Hey Agnes, is there something I can do around the house to keep myself busy?" Emery asked, walking into the kitchen to get some water. She downed a glass of water and waited for Agnes to give her an answer. "Anything?"

"Nothing really," Agnes shook her head.

"You know I used to work so hard before I met Benhail, and now I just feel like a lazy ass." She leaned on the count
