Ava

Rowan drove to my school in complete silence. I was sitting in the passenger seat while Keira was sitting behind me. All the while, I had done nothing but observe the forest outside, until the forest had turned into the city streets and I had begun to feel anxiety assailing me.

I didn't like the idea of going back to school, of seeing those ugly faces of my classmates, not after what happened the last time I was at school.

I sighed in distraught and noticed that Rowan was parking in front of the school.

" Thank you Alpha!" chirped Keira before opening the door.

"You're welcome. Start to go, Ava will join you shortly," said Rowan, and I turned to look at him, frowning.

Keira got out of the car, and I followed her with her eyes, noticing how she was going to greet some of her friends.

" Why are you agitated?" Rowan suddenly asked, making me jump.

I looked at him again, his dark hair messy and his gray eyes focused on mine, with those fleshy lips that made me want to bite.
