My whole body stiffened as I listened to the sounds of the forest and the footsteps that followed me. They weren’t the ones I was used to, they weren’t the eight legs of wolves that I felt protected with, no, these were steps of people running after me.

I turned my head, only to see figures coming closer and closer behind me. they were hooded, covered in black from head to toe, and moving at a frightening speed.

I looked up and ran as fast as my legs allowed me to.

I felt my lungs burn as the men’s grunts grew closer and closer.

What did they want? Why were they following me?
