I woke up to Tiffany snoring quietly and breathing on my neck. She slept like a baby with her fists loosely clenched above her chest and her eyes flinching at every sound, so I stayed still to avoid waking her. Mr. Gordon offered that Trevor be the one to stay in my room, and he seemed overly excited about the proposal, but I declined.

I couldn't say why I refused, but it had everything to do with the fact that I was anxious about the blood moon and more anxious about seeing my actual father. But even more terrified that I could speak to Blake with my mind. Blake said it meant that we had some kind of deep connection, and I felt it might be true because his voice in my mind sounded so natural. But I felt nothing when I saw Trevor yesterday. I thought I would be overcome with excitement when I saw him, but it was as if I weren't seeing anyone. Everything I felt for Trevor. At that moment, I couldn't feel anymore.
