Jude kept stealing glances at Raina. He noticed how scared and skittish she became the moment he drove into his family's estate. He expected himself to be delighted by her vulnerability, but he found his soul loosened up to comfort her.

Anytime he tried to open his mouth, he forcefully shut it until he finally drove into the main compound. Both mother and children paled at the sight of his family's home. As if they just arrived at a haunted house, "What's with you all?! Nobody will touch you without my permission. So…stop overreacting like you've seen a hunting ghost" he angrily hit his palm on the steering wheel.

"Mummy, I did not tell you because you will be sad, but this place is bad. There is a woman that keeps saying bad words about you!" Noelle cried out. She stepped on the car seat, her hands quivering in fear.

"You should have told us that we are coming here. No wonder you bought so many things for us. Let's run away" Noel joined Noelle as they began to cry.
