Chapter Fifty Nine

(Aurora's POV)

(A FEW DAYS EARLIER!!)

Isis had lied to me.

I sobbed silently right before Jordan.

"What letter?" he asked.

"You sent me a letter; you told me... you..." I still couldn't say the words; all I felt was pain. "You have a mate?" I asked

"Yes, I told you this; her name is Chloe," he said, looking confused.

I turned away from him.

"You gave up on me so easily, Jordan, so damned easily."

Jordan was left speechless. I knew he blamed himself for everything and would never stop feeling the guilt. Isis is the one I should be facing right now, not Jordan.

"Aurora, please forgive me. I know I hurt you. I should have been strong enough. I should have fought him when he came to take you, but... you were his mate, and I couldn't, it was just against the very rules each and every pack had been built on."
