As I sank onto the edge of my bed, the weight of my conflicting emotions settled heavily upon me. I couldn't shake the sense of guilt that lingered after my conversation with Lily. Her reaction, or lack thereof, left me feeling uneasy. Did she truly believe my words, or was there doubt in her mind? The uncertainty gnawed at me, casting a shadow over my thoughts.

A wry smile tugged at the corners of my lips as I reminisced about Luxury's similar disposition. She, too, valued her independence and autonomy fiercely, detesting any attempts to impose limitations on her freedom. Yet, despite our differences, I couldn't help but draw parallels between the two women who had captured my heart in different ways.
