THIRTY-THREE

Clarissa could feel Archer’s eyes on hers. If she didn’t pick up the call, she had no idea what Zachary would do. She was supposed to meet him by 6 pm yesterday, but she had bailed.

Slowly, she got up from her tight spot and moved a distance from where she assumed that Archer wouldn’t hear her.

“What do you want, Zachary?” She asked at once.

“Don’t you dare shout at me, wifey,” his voice boomed through the other side of the phone.

Clarissa gritted her teeth together. This was indeed getting out of hand, and she had no idea how she was going to make him see that she was never going to be with him. NEVER!

“Don’t call me that. I have not agreed to this nonsense, and I will never agree to it. Please, give up. Go back to your people and stay the fuck away from me,” Clarissa snapped.

“Ouch, my future wife shouldn’t be cursing. It’s unladylike. I wonder what your mother will say if she heard you curse right now.” He taunted.
