CHAPTER SIXTY-SEVEN. INVESTMENT.

After school, Rory went to pay a visit to her Nana at her flower shop.

She was helping her tend to the flowers, with her apron on, in silence.

Taking care of the flowers was easy since the flower shop was very small. Her eyes swept the whole place in one glance. It had a small round dining table close to the entrance of the house her Nana lived in, which was separated by a thread curtain, even her house was small. There was a door and two windows on both sides of the tool that allowed the sun to shine on the flowers lined up in front of them.

Nana Clarisse had a bad knee so the size of the shop was very practical, but Rory’s brows creased. Since she arrived there had only been one customer and the customer bought a bouquet for ten dollars. The prices of every other flower were within this range because of the neighborhood they were in. The income wasn’t enough for her and her nana deserved more than this, especially for what she had done for her. What would her grandmother say
