Chapter 116: The End?

Ludovic's POV

They were too many for us to tackle. Father and I did all we could to fight them off, but not without bruises and deep gashes on open parts of our body. One of the things that put us at a disadvantage was Iris.

I set her unconscious body in a sitting position, wedging her back against the wall. We arced around her, fighting them off without moving more than few inches. Protecting my mate was my first priority, and I'd do it with my life on the line as I promised her.

We killed off about fifteen of them, but they were still too many and daring for us. Father couldn't transform because of his incomplete body parts, which made more of the work load fall on me.

"What are we going to do?" Father shouted, plunging his hands into the side of a beast he'd pinned to the ground. "These beast are not ready for a negotiation." He pulled the heart out and threw it into the face of another werewolf flying at him.
