Chapter 117: Iris on Rampage

Ludovic's POV

My elation knew no bounds. I wanted to jump on her and kiss her for coming back to me. With the people I love around me dead, losing Iris would have been a bigger blow to the solar plexus. I squatted behind her, taking one last glance at father's head.

"I'm sorry about your father." Iris consoled, her voice a low thunder. Her eyes and hair glowed bright, scaring the beasts. They took few steps back, baring their teeth at her.

"It's not your fault," I muttered, closing his dead eyes with my fingers. I took my stance beside her letting my fury out. Black shiny fur sprouted from my skin. I unleashed my beast, letting it go all out. Iris was back from the recess of her mind, which means my movements are no more restricted. "They did it, and I'll make them pay."
