Gustav's POVThe whole thing about the Loop of the Forgotten seemed a little above overwhelming to me. Okay, I was more flabbergasted with the old myth than I was at keeping my expression calm. Nothing was ever on the plain side on this part of the world!Firstly, it was finding out a wolf could be caged by extreme trauma the host may have suffered. Gustav's POVI jolted awake in my room, panting like a hunted prey. Zelta, Drogo and Madeline pushed forward, perplexed at the horrific look plastered all over my face. Gustav's POVIt was hard fixing my thoughts on Iris. Ludovic's Lycan shape got in the way of the concentration. The more I tried to perch my thoughts on Iris, the glaring his icy crimson eyes reduced me to a beaten pulp. Beside him, I was helpless. I admit. Gustav's POVIt was not the amphitheatre the next time I opened my eyes. There was no noise of cheering and hooting from a crowd. My eyes opened into a dark room. It was not the darkness of night. It was something darker. Like the darkness of hell."Where am I?" I asked no one in particular. There was no sound, no light, no sign of life; just an empty dark room.The ground on where I stood was firm to be fair enough. At least, the place wasn't sinking under my feet. Gustav's POVMy hope soared above all the doubts that once clouded my head. I jogged towards the doorway with thoughts of Iris nestled in my head. Ludovic was dead now. Gustav's POVI gasped awake in my room, holding the back of my head. I brought my hands to my face to see if I brought back souvenirs from the loop, but thankfully, there was no sign of blood on it. Except the greasiness of my palms I rubbed away on my corduroy. Agitated, I turned my neck to look at Iris beside me, sleeping peacefully. She had her innocent look cloaked over her face as I'd always known her. And another screen, till all the screens in the room came on. Who had the remote control? I knew it was a stupid question to ask, so I kept it to myself. The keeper must be at it. He wanted to do something funny, but it was too late. I had been strengthened not to laugh at his bland, stupid jokes this time."Whatever you plan to do, I'm not giving in." I flashed my claws, and blinked my eyes to the colour that I was better suited for. "Come out from the goddamn place you are hiding and face me, you fucking coward. I won't let you get to me." I turned around and shouted into the distance. "You hear me?"Then a recorded scene played on one of the screens.
