Richard and Willaim were glaring at each other for the longest time. Brieanna feeling uneasy with their atmosphere. She should say something!
"Uhm..."
"I didn't mean to intrude, bro. I thought she was single," Richard said.
"I am--"
"She is but she isn't here to date anyone."
Okay, they were not allowing her to speak and William is just repeating what she said to him when she was new here. Dang, she's really that cold to him.
Richard glances at her and she kept a thin smile which made his mouth turned up. She gaze at William and she instantly look down. His face was darn scary she swore she's going to die later.
"Well, I have to get going. Nice meeting you uhm--"
"William," he coolly said.
Richard nods and turned to her, displaying a lopsided smile.
"I'll see you around, Brieanna."
If she could just pull Richard and let him stay talking to William while she makes an escape then
Today, Brieanna celebrates her day off. Like what William and her talked about, surfing is part of today's agenda. She didn't want people to laugh at her so they decided not to practice at the public beach and just do it outside their house. An hour since they started catching waves and Brieanna had caught none at all. William kept going on with her duck diving and to paddle and paddle which she was not prepared even though they warmed up. The duck diving was really dreadful for her. Her board just doesn't go down no matter how much she tries. "I need a break!" she yells, panting. When she got to the shore, she just went and lay on the sand. She's pretty bad at it. The waves aren't even that big but her feet keeps getting swept off and she ends up falling before she could even stand. "It's your first day. You can get better," William said, sitting right next to her. "You totally flop though," he added, laughing softly which made her throw a dirt
Brieanna just closed the door behind her. William and her just finished talking about him leaving for work. Two days and three nights and he leaves tomorrow. That means she's going to be alone! What if some bad guys decided to play a prank? At dinner, she was all quiet again, thinking about being alone in a place like this house with no neighbors. She might die before even a rescue comes her way. "Are you upset because I'm leaving so suddenly?" She stopped slicing her meat and looked at William. "Nope. I'm just worried that people might play a prank on me while you're away." "Hmm... you can come with me if you--" "Nope! I am not fond of parties and busy people's businesses. Plus I have work. I am aiming a promotion to be a waitress." William then laughed at her determination but even so he keeps a concern face. "Also, I think I made friends with a lady earlier. Her name is Evie and she j
The next day Brieanna was running late for work. At the entrance like always, she meets Richard and she waves at him while he says hi to her. At the kitchen, her shoulders were really sore, she keep grunting every now and then. If she didn't need money she would have taken the day off. "You okay, honey?" Veron asked her, noticing how she keeps massaging her an arm after another. "Yes, I uhm... I was a bit hard on myself practicing how to surf. I paddled too much," she replied, flashing Veron a smile. "I have a lot to learn." "Take it easy. Just have fun with it." Brieanna nodded. She will take it easy from now on. Just let things fall on their places while she do the things she loves. Like learning how to surf, needing to catch every wave and not just wait for the perfect one. Every wave is perfect, sometimes it is just not for you to ride it. William was bored in his dad's office. He finished
Brieanna couldn't be more upset when she saw Dianne with her friends outside. They were giggling and she swore she wanted to darn punch each one of them. What on the hell could they be doing here? Inviting William to a party? "William's on a business trip," she coldly said, keeping a straight face. Ugh she just wants to punch this Dianne! "So if you were going to invite him you know he's away." She was about to close the door when a guy who's with Dianne put his foot on the doorway. She glares at him, raising a brow while the guy shows a lopsided smile. "Please get your dang foot. I swear I'm not going to hesitate closing it with force." "Oh come on, Brieanna. If William's not here. We can invite you." "I don't want to go. Now, can you please leave?" Dianne looked at her with an annoyed face and then to the guy like she was talking to him telepathically. Brieanna doesn't want the bullshit so she pushed the door but before it clos
At home, William decided to let Brieanna in his room. That way when he finish his work he knows she's just right there. His room was way bigger and his bed too. If she decides to roll around she can. But Brieanna was dancing while laughing, jumping like there's a loud beat there. And even when William tried to put her down, she wouldn't. She even beamed at him, pulling him for a dance. "I feel hot so suddenly," she tells him when she hugged William. "I feel really insane right now. I'm sorry." "I know," he muttered. "Just hang in there. You'll be fine with me." They look at each other, Brieanna's eyes asking him for help while she grins. Somehow it had taken William back to when he has these kind of eyes, when he was so lost. Nobody even tried to find him. "I'm sorry, Brie." Few hours passed and Brieanna appeared to be calm. She's not shouting and moving around anymore. The drug might be coolin
William plastered a lizard like smile when he saw Brieanna shut her eyes. He would love to kiss her but he doesn't want to when obviously there are secrets he is keeping. She doesn't know him well and he doesn't want her to regret ever kissing him. So, he raised his hand and flicked her forehead, chuckling softly. "William you jerk!" She yells, rubbing her forehead. And then she glares at him. That's the reaction he so wants to get every time he does it. He bet she doesn't know how much that makes him happy. "Are you feeling better now?" he asked, remaining how they are. Just laying on the bed, facing each other like it's a normal thing. "I don't remember what happened and how I ended here. Although I kind of had a dream about Dianne and her friends. Was that even true?" And he cleared his throat. "It was real." He watches as the glow left her face. "D-did I get--" "No! Richard called when I ju
"I was a drug addict, Brie." William looks at Brieanna and the look on her face didn't change. "Fed up with pleasing my parents, I am dumb enough to believe that Angel dust could fly you high enough to heaven. Obviously I was mistaken. I don't know how long I keep taking that until I just can't stop anymore. Then just one day I came home, I had no idea what had gotten into me. They said I dang choked my little sister, almost to death. It scared me so much, but I don't have the recollection of doing that." "Is that why you are here? To stay away from hurting them?" He took a glimpse of her and saw the sparkles in her eyes. No idea what her eyes were telling him. He nodded. "Yeah. I just don't have the courage to face my sister yet. She probably hates me now. Without a doubt, I bet she thinks of me as a killer, a monster who tried to take her life away." When Brieanna didn't say anything, he just wanted to leave the room. Just like she told
Evie's visit was short and Brieanna was really glad that her friend cared about her. They talked about what happen. Evie told her that she can't wait for her to come back and catch some waves together. Although she is feeling better, William insisted that she stays for one more day. But it kind of bored her just to stay inside so she went to their porch that faced the ocean. She smiled when she saw the sparkling waters. The waves were calm and like always would crash on the shore. "I want to feel the ocean," she whispers, standing up and walking towards the shoreline. Letting the soft wave on her feet, her mouth displayed a smile. The water is sure cold and if William wasn't going to get mad she probably would have submerge her body in the ocean. The breeze is just so fresh, salty it seemed. Now that she's in this peaceful place again, she could only think of what has happened to her so far. Coming here because she wanted to di
