Raven's POV

Amy was under the care of the pack's medical team, and the relief that she was receiving treatment began to ease some of the anxiety in the waiting area. As we were asked to sit down, a team of doctors and nurses approached, ready to assess our conditions.

We each underwent a quick examination, and it was determined that, fortunately, our exposure to the wolfbane gas was minimal. The doctor reassured us that, while the effects were temporarily debilitating, we would recover in due time.

As the medical team left, I was feeling even more disconnected from my wolf. My father's punishment was still lingering and the poison he had given me was still in my veins. He had used his Alpha authority to sever my link with my inner wolf as a consequence of actions I had taken in defiance of his orders.
