" I can't thank you enough," Elaine repeated again as we neared our gate.
" Come on, that's random treat," I shrugged.
" How was your mini camping?" She asked.

We passed Cain's house and I watched a figure standing on the balcony. He was home my papa was home.
I felt Elaine's eyes piercing holes intoe but I ignored her as I continued looking at him with interest. He stood their looking back neither of us looking away.

Walking into the dimmed lights this night, it would be hard to guess that one loose string, a night out, would have so much power over my life.
