Chapter 133: Moving Forward

"Ruby..." whispered Eric.

Ruby, startled by her behavior, bit her lower lip and pulled away from him. She picked up the empty plates and went inside the house.

The next evening Ruby sat next to him knitting as she tried not to disturb him.

“You know how to knit too?” asked Eric.

“A little,” said Ruby.

“What are you making?”

“A sweater.”

“Oh, well you make me one?”

“No.”

“Why not?”

“Because you got someone else to do that for you.”

“I know. That's why I asked. So, you need to do it.”

Ruby stared at him with disbelief.

“Yeah?” said Eric raising his eyebrows at her.

"What?"

"You look beautiful. Well, you always do, but today you look extra pretty."

Ruby for some reason blushed at his words. Embarrassed she went back to knitting.

"I shall take my leave. I will be back tomorrow."

Ruby nodded.
