Chapter 22: Who are the Demon, Fallen, and Hellhounds Clan

Eric stared at them with frustration. A little spark of jealousy came at him as he saw her blush at John. When he saw John handing the umbrella to her, he wanted her to deny it. However, Ruby with her beautiful, blushed face, accepted it from him. Disappointed, he muttered to himself, "Whatever." She’s probably running around with other men trying to attract his attention. She was trying to make him jealous. Well, he wasn’t going to fall for it. Huffing, he walked away.

Ruby took his umbrella but hesitated on using it. She said, “I’m nearly done now, so I won’t be needing it. Thanks for the consideration.” She handed the umbrella back to John.

Finishing up her last rinse of the herbs she put it back in her basket. She got up and started to leave.
