My entire body hurt. It felt like a truck had run me over multiple times and I just lay there as it caused damage to my body. Then there was a dream, and a warm body that lured me out of it. No way. There was no way she could finish the entre waffle that I had made for everyone. I knew she ate a lot but surely even her couldn’t finish this. I watched Charles laugh before setting a timer with his phone and placing it on the table for everyone to see. The one-minute countdown started and the waffle eating monster was awoken. I stared at Carrie with wide eyes as she wolved down waffles faster than an entire football team. She pushed in more than one waffle at the same time into her mouth. The timer went off immediately she swallowed the last waffle. I’m dreaming. A sweet, nice dream for a change. There were no headless creatures chasing me or severed head rolling at my feet. For the first time the sun coming in through my window wakes me up. It’s the first time that I have slept in. It’s also the second time I’m having a very beautiful dream with Carrie in it. The first being when I was sick, but now that I knew Carrie was alive and here with me, it made the dream a million times better.
