 I waited until his breath evened out before I slipped out from under his arm, my body already missing the warmth that he provided.

With my heart racing I turned back to him, I was really doing this. I was leaving him. It was a hard decision but it was a one that had to be made for both our good. I watched the rise and fall of his chest and the way his hair fell over his face, concealing his eye lids.

Lifting my hand against my better judgement, I brushed the hair away and watched as he his eyes fluttered before the opened.

“Why are you up so early?” He asked, his voice still drowsy with sleep, “And why are you all the way there?”

His hands found my waist and dragged me back to him, my back aligned perfectly with his muscled chest.

I managed a laugh even though it sounded like a broken horn “I just need to use the bathroom, I’ll be back before you know it” I managed to say, the lie slipping past my lip
