Xavier was truly ruthless.

Yvette pressed her lips together, unable to feel the pain in her palms anymore.

Snyder Group had suffered losses at Terrence's hands, but at least it had still been around. But now, even the last thing James had left her was gone.

Yvette was well aware that Xavier was doing all of this to get back at her. Staring at the land that had become a wasteland, her throat ached, and she almost burst into tears.

"This is the perfect example of survival of the fittest. You're the CEO of Lane Group; of course you have the final say in everything."

She didn't realize her voice had gone hoarse.

Xavier couldn't believe that even now, she would still refuse to admit she hadn't lost her memory.

He had expected her to question him, to cry, and to kick up a fuss when she witnessed the scene before her, but she had done none of those things.

Her eyes used to light up when she looked at him, but now they were as calm as the ocean. His heart ached, and he pinched he
