Tristan didn't feel like eating that evening. After learning about Tristan's actions earlier that day, Archibald had invited him to dine at the hotel.

But Tristan was aware that Archibald just wanted him to get to know the other young ladies at the banquet.

Sure enough, shortly after he arrived in the banquet hall, Archibald called him aside. "This is the Lane family's banquet. I doubt you'd dare to mess it up."
