Inside Her Dream
“Close your eyes, Lina, and dream.”
When she heard the word dream, she remembered her nightmare. She opened her mouth to call Eon but his back was already on her. She screamed but no words came out of her mouth. Her scream was just trapped inside her head and when the door closed behind Eon, a tear escaped from the corner of her eye.
She was opening and closing her mouth and no matter how hard she tried to speak, she couldn't. And then all of the sudden, she found herself gasping for air because her lungs were filled with cold water. Terror paralyzed her body when she realized she was underwater. She kicked her legs as hard as she could to reach the surface and when she did, as she expected, she was in the murky water of the swap.
