A Quiet Evening

“I know you also sensed something with me. I could feel your anger toward me. When you start learning medicine, you get a feel for people’s energies, sicknesses, and emotions. You could call it a sixth sense in a way.” My cheeks grew hot, and I realized she knew exactly how I had been feeling towards her.

“It’s okay, and it’s normal for mates to feel protective over their bonded partner. I had wanted to clear the air earlier, but, well, things got crazy around here.” I put my head down in shame. While the whole town had been in chaos, I had allowed myself to be consumed with my jealous emotions. I really needed to work on this with Soraya if we were ever going to be functioning adults again.
