War Never Changes

The ground floor was rather fancy compared to the rest of the building. It wasn't hotel level refined but it was certainly rather well kept and smart. Sort of like an entrance one might find when entering an office business of a sort. Lee had made sure to let me know where the hidden exit was and pointed it out to me in case we needed to make a quick getaway. Our communication was silent.

As we neared the end of the hallway, we could hear muffled voices talking between themselves and right away I could sense Rakesh was very close. I wondered why he hadn't come further up in the building, or maybe he had and had somehow found his way back down again for some reason? I gathered I would figure it out sooner or later. Either way, I didn't try and reach out to him again. I wasn't sure if they had known I had tried to reach him before, but for now, I had to be patient.
