Of all the things you can see whenever you'd take a stroll or, in my case, a run into the forest, I definitely wasn't expecting this.

It was such a beautiful day that I decided to indulge in a one hour run, taking the path that leads from the pack house's backyard directly into the forest.

I left Zannie who was fast asleep on our bed. Despite the current time, one where you'd expect everyone to be bustling around, everyone was still asleep. It was a reward everyone longed for and well-deserved after everything they've been through. Aside from me, I took note that twenty two warriors were the only ones awake and just lingering about and around the pack.

I was on my fourteenth lap when I stopped to take a breath and simply breathe in the fresh air. Sunlight peeked in through the leaves of the trees above me accompanied by a cool breeze that left me to sigh in contentment, birds sang as they flew from branch to branch and I watched as two pairs of deers ran past me.
