Natash's POV

I picked up my phone to remind Annelie, but before I could dial, the doorbell rang.

I put the phone down and went to open the door, saying, "Forgot the keys." My words got stuck in my throat when I saw the person standing outside.

Jaclyn·Dills' face remained somber, no different from the day we parted ways. His thin lips were pressed into a line, and he gave me an unfriendly glance before walking in without ceremony.

When he saw Perry running around the room, his face suddenly lit up with a rather forced smile.

It seemed a bit awkward and uncomfortable, and his change of expression was so rapid that I found it hard to adapt.

"Perry, come, Daddy will hug you. Missed Daddy, haven't you?"
