Chapter 63-twists and turns

Jaclyn's POV

I took several deep breaths in my belly before I could somewhat calm the rapidly churning emotions within me. If this continues, I might actually end up infuriating my Luna.

After dinner, I cleaned up the dishes and, coming out of the kitchen, placed a stack of sliced apples in front of Natash·Yael. I sat beside her, showing no intention of leaving, and joined Natash·Yael in watching TV.

We didn't speak, only the intermittent sounds from the television filled the room. Under the warm-colored lights, an unusually peaceful and harmonious atmosphere enveloped us—a rarity in our marriage but now seemingly within reach.
