Chapter 113

The harsh banging sound of our living room door was the last thing I heard from Maya earlier today. She was mad at me and didn't return my calls or my text. 

I tossed on the bed and focused my gaze on the door, wishing it'd creak open with Maya's eyes shining from afar, but it didn't happen. I waited till my lids became heavy. Maya had gone to where I had no idea about. Was what I did that bad that she had to push me away in such a manner?

No one answered the question I had asked. 

I looked to the right and sighed when  there was no best friend sleeping like a hobo beside me. I rubbed my palm on the empty bed space beside me before my eyes enveloped each other. 

Sun rays pierced into my windows and fried the skin of my closed eyes. I groaned. 

I had left the windows open, hoping Maya would crawl back in. Wait, did I forget to close the window?
