Guilt. 

That was what was written all over his face as he scratched his eyes and had a wandering gaze. His facial expression was like that of a kid that was caught stealing candy from a jar. 

My mouth was still hung open, but then I picked it up and jammed it close, staring at him with an I don't care face. 

I folded my arms and arched a perfectly carved brow at him and said, "Yes, what do you want?"

"Jade..." He trailed off and dug his hand into his front pocket and the gentle breeze blew his open button shirt around. "I'm sincerely sorry-" Tristan hesitated to rub his bare arms to keep him warm from the cold.
