Chapter 96

My throat sank into my stomach and beads of sweat formed on my forehead, sliding down my nose and adorning my lips. 

"Hi," he said with a smirk etched to his face. 

He sounded more masculine than the last time we met. He pushed his black hair back and walked into the room with a box in his hands. 

"I boarded a flight as soon as I heard you were in the hospital." He announced, dropping the box on the table with a smile that never faltered. 

"It's been a long time." Tristan beamed, shaking hands with him. 

He was taller than I remembered and his big lapis eyes were framed in thick long lashes, just as I remembered it to be back in those days.
