Asher POV

Arriving at where I parked my car earlier, I drop the unconscious Adelie in the back seat before I hurry over to the driver's seat before I drive out of the place. She's burning up, and I need to get her to the hospital immediately so she can get treated.

Driving down the road a few minutes later, I keep checking on her through the visor, and seeing her lying there with her eyes closed, I feel a bit angry. I shouldn't be feeling this, considering that nothing happened to her, but I can't help it. Would that bitch kill her if I hadn't shown up? Would she have hurt her if I wasn't there to save her?

Taking a deep breath, I finally take the route that leads to the hospital, and after about twenty minutes of driving, I finally arrive. The door has been closed, so I had to bang on it hard until they opened it for me, and I rush her inside.
