The end-of-the-year-party

It was finally the day for the end-of-the-year party at Adelie's company, but she wasn't having a good feeling about it. Many negative thoughts kept coming to her mind no matter how she tried to shove it off and pretend everything was fine.

"Uhm... Are you coming to the party?" She couldn't help but ask Asher before she left home earlier, and she prayed that just as he has said earlier that he wasn't sure, he shouldn't come over to the party.
