Chapter 39
All of them got into a Mercedes Benz waiting at the school parking lot. Scarlet was too shaken to speak anything and she stayed in her own world. Angel was sitting between both her parents.
Throughout the ride Ace kept talking to someone on the phone. Though she could not understand the language which was Italian and French she could make out he was not happy with the outcome as it was related to a mishap she was about to suffer.
He kept shouting at the other person on the line. Angel, who was silent till then crawled into Ace's lap, hugged him and put her head on his chest with her legs on either side of his waist. Only then did Ace realize his anger was going beyond the boundary. He patted her little back and calmed himself for the sake of Angel.
