195. The New Beginning

Watching Maxwell being sent away that day in the police van was a bitter sweet experience for Alexander but was devastating one for Lilly and Big Willy. In each other company, they hugged one another sadly with tears flowing freely.

Alice didn’t know what to feel about Maxwell’s situation because she wasn’t particularly close to him nor had much knowledge of him hence the feeling of betrayal experienced by the others was new to her. Jake was feeling despondence because having grown up with Alexander since they were kids before Maxwell rebellion, he was the sweetest husband and a father. He sighed disappointedly when he remembered all those times he took them to their soccer rehearsals, movies and even helped them play movie dates and parties when needed. The despondency came in when he witnessed how low he had to bring himself because of his greed.

But they all had on thing in common that eventful evening and that was the return of Alexia.

That day the celebration that was supposed to
