246. The Victory

Diane didn’t want to leave the grave yard, she didn’t want to leave her baby alone there and leave. She felt doing that meant abandoning her in that lonely place, she sat comfortably on the green grass beside Charlotte’s grave and refused to get up from there. The cemetery was empty apart from the four of them, Romeo couldn’t leave Diane either and Alexander and Alice couldn’t afford to leave them alone there. The workers hired had already filled the grave with soil and it wasn’t easy for Diane during that period, she had to be held tightly in a tight embrace by Romeo who wasn’t feeling any better than her but was rather finding strength in his grieving heart. It was an emotional rollercoaster for everyone present at the grave yard especially when Diane lay down on Charlotte’s grave in the rain, talking and whispering sweet nothings to her through the grave. The workers were in the rain waiting for her to leave so they can start with leveling the floor and start with the grave moulding
