Alexander heard their entire conversation over the phone, his heart was heavy and he couldn’t talk for a long time. Instantly he knew an attack was launched and aimed solely at Alice in his absence. From the way they sounded over the phone, it’s most likely that they succeeded in getting her because he left her unprotected. He didn’t think they’d have the gut to go into house to attack his woman because he didn’t think they dare harm his wife. What a shame! He was the most powerful man across the country and beyond yet he couldn’t protect his wife well, he only kept some guards around the house.
