25. STALE BLOOD AND LEATHER

MELIA POV

The urge to crawl under a rock and hide was overbearing while we were waiting for the Alpha and the Doc to rejoin the group.

I finger-combed Margot's hair while we waited.

Margot would literally die if she knew the way she looked as everyone stared down at her.

Or maybe she wouldn't care and would just be thankful she was alive.

Or maybe she would hate me just like Maisie does.

A tear slid down my cheek.

Mags didn't even look like herself, her limbs were all dislocated, and everything she owned was elongated to twice its normal size. I didn't even know how to explain how incredibly sad she looked right now.

"Ah-am"

The Alpha cleared his throat, getting the attention of the room as he stepped out of Jeanie's office.

"We need to move Margot to the pack hospital if we want to give her a chance to survive." He said to me quietly.

"We need to move her back home." I stood up and looked directly at the Alpha.

"Melia, that isn't an option right now." Alpha August looked
