"If you're going to apologize to Alpha August, you had better get your butt up and do it now. He is leaving and they're taking Margot with them. l don't think leaving her alone with them is a good idea and l can't talk mom and dad out of it. I've tried, we have to do something."

I couldn't even open my eyes before Maisie was screaming at me through our mindlink.

"I'm on my way, Mace."

I closed off our mindlink.

"Rox, we gotta get up. The Alpha is leaving and he is taking Margot with him." I nudged her with my shoulder.

"It's too early Mia, plus today's my day off," Roxy whined, turning away from me.

"Too bad buttercup. If I have to be up, so do you."

Truthfully, I wanted to retreat under the covers and hide all day. My body felt great thanks to Abuela's cooking, but my emotional state was another story.
