Chapter One-Hundred

Valerie entered the door, following Walt inside, and closed it behind her. He didn’t even look over his shoulder, but walked as if he expected her to be right behind him. And she was, because that’s what Damien, her master, told her to do.

As they walked, she studied him, taking better inventory of the man who was about to… She sighed. Who was about to do whatever he wanted to her. Walt possessed mussed up gray hair that probably hadn’t had a brush run through it in weeks, if he even brushed it at all. And by the looks of it, he rarely washed it. He was a thin man, but still had a slightly muscular build under his baggy clothes and walked with a slight stoop of his shoulders, almost as if he bent in two. He possessed a scraggly beard which covered his chin and cheeks in splotches, never fully covering any true patch of his face, and he mumbled to himself as he walked. She doubted he talked to her.
