CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVThe woman that all of us didn't want to see this duel barged into the beta's room, and right when I thought that she would yell and demand that they stop, she chose to stand by with such a brazen expression on her face. "Stella," I whispered my sister's name, and she didn't even bother to glance at me—not until she was finally taken aback and her consciousness seemed to have returned to reality."Celestina, what's happening here?" Stella asked me, slowly approaching me as she looked twice at the Wongs siblings, who were still rumbling on one another. "Why are they fighting in their wolf forms? I know that they're supposed to have their regular training sessions, but they never shifted before because of training," she added. The way that Stella sounded genuinely curious about the scenario she stepped into made me feel like she hated to see them in a duel too."If I tell you that I'm the reason why they're having a duel right now, will you believe and forgive m
CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVAt first glance, I didn't think that Sarina would descend at this kind of time when a lot of people were still awake. And as expected, all of those around us had their eyes focused on the Moon Goddess. They probably haven't seen them from such a close distance before, which wasn't the case for me.I sensed Stella holding my fingertips, and even if it was just that, I could still feel how strongly she was shaking. It might have been because of the dominant presence of Sarina, or maybe she was just afraid that she might get punished for desiring to take my spot."I came here in case you forgot about the portal, Celestina Villarama." Sarina broke the silence between us, and my eyes widened, realizing that I only thought of the upcoming judgment day and not the next summons of the portal. "In less than a few minutes, the portal is going to show itself in the place where you saw it together with them," she added. The Moon Goddess didn't bother to take a few steps
CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVI screamed to stop the Moon Goddess from erasing the portal's existence. I've been desperately waiting for it to show itself for years, and now that I finally have the chance to get back to my world, I won't let Sarina ruin my dream."Don't do it, Celestina. Do you know what will happen to you if you kill Sarina?" Siege questioned me. His voice was still filled with authority, but there was also a hint of concern in it. "You're going to end up with the same fate as her; you'll die the very second that she dies. That's why there still wasn't anyone who dared to take her life, since it's the same as killing themselves," he explained.Sarina chuckled upon hearing the alpha's explanation. "If you don't want her to take my life, would you do the honor of killing me?" she asked out of pure curiosity.I glanced at Siege, waiting for what his response would be, but his mouth remained shut for minutes. That silence was enough for me to confirm that he's not prepared t
CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVI should've believed my guts from the start. And if I did, then Ice wouldn't have had to act as a sacrifice for us to survive and win against the Moon Goddess. I never imagined that he could've been this risky, since I knew him as the type of person who values his own life more than anyone else's."Ice!" I yelled out his name, trying to reach out to him, but he was already too far away from me. "Damn it, Ace! Did the two of you plan this beforehand? Was this why you prevented him from telling me whatever it was?" I questioned him out of frustration, even though I already knew the answer to it.Ace couldn't bear to look me in the eye because of the guilt that was surging in his mind. "I'm sorry. This was the only way for us to live and get through this, Celestina. I already asked him a lot of times to think this over, but Ice insisted that he should be the sacrifice if it comes down to it," he explained. He kept on playing with his fingers while his head was b
CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVYears have already passed since the world started to crumble. Humans weren't able to find a cure for their world. They were already fortunate enough that their lives had been spared, and only a few among them lost their lives. And luckily, I am one of those people.I used to live in a small town and met a man who has never failed to make me happy. His presence made my life glorious, and he was willing to spend every moment he got with me.He was called "Ice". He had been there through thick and thin and never let anything get on his nerves. I loved him dearly as well. In fact, even though he left, I still remember all the things we did together. We used to play games, read books together, go out to eat, and buy clothes; he was like a brother to me.There wasn’t a single day that I didn’t pray and wish upon the stars that he would come back for good one day, after leaving me with promises that someday he'd come back home and stay alive."Celestina," mom called
CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVIt continued, "I've been waiting for you, and I know that you wouldn’t believe me. You won't believe anyone, but I have been watching you for a long time."I kept on attempting to speak, but no words came out of my mouth. The only thing that I was capable of doing was to think as I listened to this person blabber."But you will believe me now. I've waited a couple of years for this moment to come." The stranger stared directly into my eyes. Then it reached out a glowing hand and placed it in my chest. I gasped at the shock of electricity that ran along my hand, making me shiver. "I can't say when I'll be able to visit you again. So please forgive me. I wish for your safety and a magnificent life. Though, it would be best for the both of us to forget each other."Before I knew it, the stranger vanished into the darkness. He was replaced by a shining portal that emitted an aura that contained the same color as the sky, as if it were the pathway for me to go to h
CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVQuite a lot of hours were spent listening to Sarina’s explanation about the existence of this realm and everything else that I needed to be aware of. As much as possible, I really didn’t want to believe what Sarina mentioned earlier. But now that I am stuck in a dim forest after letting my feet take me anywhere they desire, I have no choice but to believe her. Even from afar, I caught a glimpse of the body shape of a werewolf that seemed to be feasting on a person or an animal. It might even be of the same kind.I immediately covered my mouth with both of my hands and attempted to step backwards to start dashing out of the woods, but my feet were completely frozen, and there was nowhere else that I could possibly go at this point."Somebody, please help me…" I begged within the depths of my mind and soul, knowing that no one would be able to hear me. Even so, I had a faint hope that I’d be saved. My shoulders were continuously raised as I was literally gaspin
CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVThis pack house is located in the same forest where I was unconsciously brought a while ago. It’s at the foot of mountains where the clouds almost cover the entire sky. There is a castle built atop the mountain, overlooking the city below. The main entrance and hallway are lit with warm light, illuminating all corners of the house. There is even a staircase on the side of the hall that is built into the wall, leading up to an upper level, though it may also lead to an underground facility. The child has given me a lot of stories regarding the wolves who reside in this castle. He told me that the Crimson Moon Pack used to be extremely proud wolves. They pride themselves on being the best hunters as well, even though they’re striving to avoid any hunters out there who are out to treat them as prey. They’ve begun to get weaker because their alpha didn’t have any wives, or what they call lunas. He hasn’t found his mate for years, and they have already lost hope
