We tip-toed through the entrance into a large hallway of the cave, looking around to make sure there were no changelings in the area before moving on. Keeping as quiet as we could, we only spoke through hand gestures just in case any of the creatures were near. The “hall way” of the cave was slightly narrow to the point where I wondered how we were going to hide if any changelings did come our way. My heart pounded every step of the way as we got deeper and deeper into the crevice. Finally coming up to another clearing, I felt a huge weight lifted off my chest as we began to examine the room. They were kicked and beaten brutally before being ganged up on by more of them. Soon they were encircled by changelings each taking turns to lash out at the wolves. I quickly ran to their aid as more and more changelings entered the scene. I jumped on ones back and began punching, biting and scratching it desperately trying to pry it away from my friends. The changeling threw me off its back into the wall where I once had been. Before I knew it changelings were beating on me as hard as they could. Each one of them scratched, kicked and whipped my body. I looked over to Tony and Sylvia and noticed they were pretty badly beaten. They gave up on fighting back at this point. We were losing and badly. Their bodies were covered in their own blood as they cried out from every thrash on them. I tried my best not to give them the satisfaction of any kind of noise. I started looking around the room; it looked similar to where David was being tortured. The walls were covered in lime stone and there was a small, black coal grill in the middle of the floor that was lit. The flames danced off the grill almost as if they were able to just get up and walk out on their own. Along the wall, there were more restraints. From silver chains, to barbed wire all along the wall as if Dimietry had made his own torture chamber. Over in the corner there was a bed with large spikes coming out of it, then off on the other side was a bear trap. Closer to me there was a table covered with all kinds of weapons. Rusty old swords and knives rested on the table next to a club and a hammer. A scalpel lay next to a pair of hair cutting scissors and a bayonet. My heart started pounding again as I heard noises of someone talking to someone else coming from outside the room. Dimietry grabbed Tony’s head again and lifted him up to a standing position. He glanced over to me and smiled before ripping off one of Tony’s legs. I screamed out at him trying to break free and fight him. Every piece of wire I snapped was replaced by a new one by the changelings watching me. “You see what happens when we make bad decisions, Sophie?” he said before snapping off another leg. Tony cried out in pain. “Noooo! Leave him alone!” I screamed tears running down my face as I tried un-relentlessly to get out of my restraints not even realizing that they were cutting into my flesh once again. “I keep telling you, Sophie,” he continued. “You could have prevented this. All you had to do, was join me the first time I asked.” He paused for a moment and ripped off Tony’s tail. I screamed again unable to control the tears running down my face. I fell to my knees in defeat and just stared over at the wall where Sylvia and Tony were chained. Tears began to well up in my eyes and I tried to hold them back. My breathing slowed down with my heart beat to the point where they could have stopped so easily. I couldn’t believe it; he just ended their lives like that. They couldn’t even fight back! How was that fair? Chain someone up and then torture them like that for no reason other than they were helping me? I looked over to Dimietry cross, how could he do this? Why would he kill people to make me help him? Seriously, what makes someone like him think that I would just willingly join forces with him after he killed my friends? All of these questions raced through my mind as I grew angry. I felt the anger rise in me with every breath I took. My body seemed to heat up as blood rushed through my veins. I lied there, coughing for a few moments as he waited out in pain. I didn’t know these things were anatomically correct or I would have thought of that earlier! I thought to myself grinning. He slowly got up off the ground and stood up. He stared me down for a minute as I contemplated my next move. He leapt at me and I jumped out of the way again. He gave me a look and then transformed back to the Russian. “This is getting a little bit tedious, darling, how about we skip the fighting part and you either just join me or let me kill you.” He said arrogantly as he walked towards me holding out his hand. “Now why would I join your band of idiots to fight in a war that has nothing to do with me or the good of humanity for that matter? Then again you all are demons, and really this seems more and more like a fight to see who’s got the bigger package, and trust me I’ve already seen these kind of fights. They don’t end well for the one who forces.” He gave me one of those looks where you kno

I broke my legs free and hopped up to my feet on the table. Looking around me I was completely out numbered. Dimietry came up from behind me and tried to restrain me but I fought him off and threw him off my back onto the cavern floor. Jumping on top of him, I grabbed another finger nail and ripped it off, forcing him to scream out in pain. The other changelings moved to help their leader but he motioned for them to stay where they were. Dimietry grabbed my leg and pulled me off balance sending me crashing down next to him. He climbed on top of me and tried to pin me down but I was too swift for him and escaped out from between his legs. By the time he turned around I was in the standing position and ready to fight. He turned himself into a tiger before leaping towards me again. Suddenly I felt a strong surge of power rising inside of me and before I knew it the leaping tiger was caged up in front of me. The tiger growled before turning into a snake and escaping the cage. Next thing

I reminisced about the time I spent with David, Sylvia and Tony. We bonded so much in so little time it felt like they’ve been a part of my life for years. And to just lose them in a few short days was heart wrenching. I couldn’t bear the thought of them being gone. My eyes welled up with tears again and I didn’t care to hold them back. I sat on the ground and pulled my knees up to my chest. I started crying, it seemed like the only thing I could do at this point. I had to hide my secrets from everyone else. At least it was nice to be able to share things with someone. And now that someone was gone. I buried my head between my knees as I cried harder. My tears dripped down my nose, soaking me in the process. After a few hours, the fire died down low enough to walk through. My face hurt from all the crying I had done and my vision was a little blurred but I continued to try and find my way out of the cave anyway.
