Chapter 28

Sylvia and I both looked at each other exhausted and then we both simultaneously collapsed. We sat there for about a half an hour waiting for Tony to get up, but he didn’t. I stood up and began to walk over to him. Scared for the worst, I touched his arm and began to rock him back and forth. It wasn’t very long after that, that he woke up. “OWWWWWWW” he screamed. “Why do you have to be so rough?” still not moving from his position.

“I just wanted to make sure you were okay.” I answered back to him while looking him over and checking for any life threatening injuries.

“I’m playing dead,” he said smirking at me. “I figured if I keep it up the changelings would leave me alone and I can heal.” He closed his eyes again motioning his expertise in the field.

“Oh, so you left Sylvia and me to fend for ourselves, eh?” I jabbed him in the arm knowing it would hurt him. He yelled out in pain.
