Chapter 52: Only His

She and Acheron quietly returned to Nevil's house. They are not talking like they are both tired of that. No one initiated, and no one seemed to want to speak first. Acheron sighed as he saw Raenerys ascend the steps till she was halfway there.

"Raen, is it possible for you to fall for me?" Raenerys, startled, came to a standstill. His abrupt questioning completely caught her off guard and rendered her dumbfounded. She finds it impossible to comprehend or believe that Acheron would pose such a question like that and she is even less aware of his potential sentiments for her, assuming they exist.
