Thank you to everyone who has so far followed along with Euan and Juniper. Updates will be a little slow because I'm currently in school working on a Master's degree. I'm also a single mama who works full-time, so please, stick with me! Thank you all for the love and support of my books.
(Juniper’s P.O.V) After the dust settles from the fight with the rogues, Euan and I accompany his parents back to their house. What did you do, Covey? What do you mean? With the howling and the water? What was that about? It’s one of our…gifts. Gifts? What do you mean? Look, cupcake, I can’t tell you. I’m not allowed to, but what I CAN say is that you need to practice your singing. And allow your Siren to come out. She’s being a bitch about sharing space with me when you won’t let her out. A wave of embarrassment washes over me when I realize that Coventina is right, I haven’t let my Siren out…ever. “Euan, I need to let my Siren out. Can we go to our lake?” I ask, turning towards him as we walk up the driveway to the house. “Right now?” “Yes,” I say. I couldn’t understand the sudden urge to shift into her, she’s been unsettled for some time, and I know that having to share space with Coventina is probably annoying, but I’ve been able to
(Julian’s P.O.V) Her wolf looked ethereal when it was glowing with the blue light surrounding her, her howling like a song calling on the Moon Goddess. That’s when I heard the water rushing and the howls and snarls of our warriors. We had crashed her shifting party, knowing this would be the perfect opportunity to grab her. What we hadn’t counted on was her being mated to the future Alpha King of Màni. That was not in the report from our spies, they hadn’t done their jobs right even with the help of Beatrix When Teresa, the leader of the rogue werebears, mentioned her in my room just a few weeks ago, I wasn’t prepared for the sight that greeted me. It was like a horror movie with a mix of Tim Burton’s claymation movie thrown in. She looked like Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas, like her body had been stitched together. Her skin was sickly sallow in color, almost yellow. “How did you survive?” That was the first question out of my mouth when I
(Euan’s P.O.V) I woke up to Juniper’s side of the bed being cold. Sitting bolt upright I tore through my room and bathroom then the rest of the house. Little blossom? Where are you? I call through the mind link. There was no answer. I roared out, waking the entire house and the pack. “What the hell is going on?” My mother shouts. “Juniper is gone!” I shout back. Warriors, to your Alpha’s home! Juniper is missing! My father says through mind link. “Killian and Florence need to be told.” My dad’s eyes glaze over, mind linking with Killian and probably Cormac to get them to the house too. I hear the roar of a pissed-off Royal Beta coming from within the pack grounds. The warriors had gathered in our driveway as Titan, Killian’s wolf, came through the crowd. “I know Titan, we’ll find her.” My dad says to him. Dad instructs the warriors to comb through the pack territory, to follow any hint of her scent. “I’m going to our lake; she
(Luna Queen Morrigan’s P.O.V) All I could hear was my son screaming in agony, as his father and the warriors that went to search for Juniper carried him back to the house. ““What is going on? What’s happening?” I shriek, my face showing my horror as my pup screams in agony. “We don’t know. We were at the lake that Euan and Juniper frequented when all of a sudden, he crumpled to the floor.” Rian says, desperation lacing his tone. Something is wrong with our pup. My wolf, Winter whimpers in my head. What is going on with him? Do you know? I question. We need to contact Alstin. He’ll know. I sprint to the office, my son’s howls of pain chasing me up the stairs. I burst through the door and dial my cousin’s number. “Hey Morrigan, what’s going on?” He asks worriedly. “Something is wrong with Euan. Please come here. Now.” I shout, hysterically. I hang up the phone knowing that he could teleport directly to me in a matter of seconds. “Mom, what’
(Juniper’s P.O.V) Pain. That’s all I felt coursing through my body, time seemed to stand still while I was trapped in my body, but now…now I’m floating in the black. I can’t hear Coventina or even feel her. I can’t feel my Siren either. “Well, this sucks ass.” I mutter to myself, unable to refrain from keeping my mouth shut. My words echoed around me before they tapered off into nothingness. “It would suck less if you just gave in to the pain.” A voice said. I couldn’t help the scream that escaped my lips, and when I looked around me, I couldn’t see anyone. “Who’s there? And where am I?” I shout, hearing the nervousness in my voice made me cringe. “In my playground.” The voice chuckled. “Are you going to tell me who you are?” “Hmm, not sure that I want to. No one ever appreciates my presence. Well, Morrigan did, but no one else has.” The voice said with a noticeable pout to the tone. “You know my aunt? Please, just tell me who you are and ho
(Euan’s P.O.V) The pain was unbearable, and I wanted to claw myself out of my skin. I didn’t know what was happening, I just knew that I needed to get to Junie, to my little blossom. “How much longer is he going to be out for?” I hear someone ask. Hmm, that sounds like mom…I think. “He should be coming around soon.” A male voice I didn’t recognize right away answered. My eyes shoot open and the light blinds me, making my head throb. I groan, close my eyes, and rollover. I’m not on the ground anymore, last I remembered I was on the ground by mine and Junie’s lake. I’m in bed…my bed. “The light’s off, honey.” I hear my mother whisper. I slowly open my eyes, it’s darker but not pitch black like that void was. Something doesn’t feel right though. “Mom?” I croak. “Oh, honey.” She sobs as she comes over to me and hugs me to her. I groan in pain; my body feels like it just went 10 rounds in the ring with a heavyweight champion. She re
(Juniper’s P.O.V) My head was pounding, and my body felt like it had been run over by a train. “She should be coming around now, make sure the lights are off. Her eyes will be sensitive to light.” A rasping voice said. I could hear the click of a light switch, meaning someone had followed this person’s instructions. I tried to open my eyes or move my body, but it just caused me to groan in pain. Then I felt it, the hollow feeling in my chest that something was missing. Fuck. The Moon Goddess and the water Goddess, Coventina, had been right. My mate bond was gone. Covey, you there? I reached out to my wolf. All I got back in response was a whimper of pain and loss. “Wake up, little Siren.” A husky, male voice said. I recognized him, it was that tiger shifter from the woods. I groaned out again, this time not in pain but in annoyance. Great, I was kidnapped, my mate bond was gone, and I’m stuck with crazy cat dude. Awesome. “What
(Luna Queen Morrigan’s P.O.V) It had been two weeks since Juniper was taken, and Beatrix had broken their bond making Euan just a shell of himself. He hadn’t been the same, he was like a walking zombie and if he wasn’t numb to everything, he was metaphorically ripping the heads off of our pack members and subjects. There were several times we had to sedate him and Dakota because he was flying off the handle. My cousin, Alstin, and my Uncle Albrun were working hard trying to locate the rogue camp in the Rogue Lands. My brother-in-law Lysander was doing everything he could to find the rogue necromancer, Agitha, who brought Beatrix back to life. Both searches weren’t going well; the Rogue Lands were cloaked with dark magic, and no one was willing to talk about Ganon and his possible students. Lysander didn’t want to have to use extreme measures, but it was getting to that point. Rian was just as lost in this as I was, there was really nothing we could do to help ou
