We talked for some more time, sharing our fears and hopes. Gisele encourages me to follow my heart, but also to be realistic about the difficulties that lie ahead.

After the frank conversation with Gisele, I share with Jussara about my relationship with Prince Alexander. She listens attentively and, like Gisele, expresses her concerns.

"Gio, I understand that you are in love, but we need to be very careful. The Duke has already shown that he is capable of anything to separate us," Jussara says, looking directly into my eyes.

"I know, Jussara. But I don't want you to take any risk because of me," I reply worried.

Gisele intervenes, firm. "We're not taking a risk for you, Gio. We are your friends and we will always be by your side, no matter what happens. If you chose to stay with the prince, then we are also choosing to support her."

Jussara nodded, agreeing with her friend. "Exeously. We won't let anything happen to you. Let's protect this secret with our lives, if necessary."
