Chapter 6

Yvonne pointed at Dustin. "Flynn, that's the jerk."

Flynn glared maliciously at Dustin and went over aggressively with his four black-clad bodyguards.

Frightened, Queenie hid behind Dustin. "Dad, the bad guys are here."

Dustin gently patted her head and comforted her, "Queenie, I'm here. Don't be afraid. I'll protect you."

Queenie stopped being afraid. "I believe in you. You're the best."

Children always thought fathers to be invincible.

A crowd of onlookers, who had come with their children, gathered around. They recognized Flynn and thought Dustin was doomed.

"That guy's got the nerve to slap Mr. Langdon's wife."

"Yeah, I've heard Mr. Langdon has connections in both the underworld and the legitimate world. Offending him never ends well."

"Oh, this is reality. Ordinary people can't fight against the rich and powerful."

Flynn closed in, stopping about three paces away. He glared at Dustin and said icily. "Punk, you're pretty arrogant to dare to hit my wife."

Dustin replied flatly, "I won't offend others as long as they don't offend me. Your wife hit my daughter first. I have no reason not to reciprocate."

Flynn arrogantly said, "It's an honor for your daughter that my wife hit her, but it's a monstrous crime for you to hit my wife."

Dustin laughed. "A monstrous crime? Flynn, I can't believe you can say something so shameless."

Flynn snorted coldly and answered, "Enough with the nonsense. Anyone who dares to bully my family never ends well, and you will be no exception." With that said, he waved his hand and shouted icily, "Get him! Break this guy's limbs!"

The four black-clad bodyguards responded and swung their fists as they charged at Dustin.

Yvonne grinned and said, "Jerk, let's see how arrogant you are now."

An icy gleam flickered in Dustin's eyes, and his right foot kicked like lightning.

Before the four black-clad bodyguards could react, they were kicked in the chest. They screamed as they were sent flying back three paces, unable to get up for a moment.

Queenie watched with excitement. "Dad, you're awesome!"

Flynn and Yvonne froze. They did not expect Dustin to be so such a good fighter, effortlessly defeating their four top-notch bodyguards. However, being an experienced man, Flynn was not deterred. He instantly calmed down. He looked at Dustin and said with a sneer, "So you're a martial artist. No wonder you're so arrogant."

After a brief pause, he added, "But we don't live in a world where we can solve things by force alone. Money and power are the strongest weapons. If you beg for mercy now, I might consider sparing your life. Or..."

Dustin flatly said, "Or what?"

"Or I'll ruin your entire family. I'll use all my power to ensure no one hires you. Your family will starve to death," Flynn answered bossily.

Dustin was speechless as it was his first time encountering someone so arrogant. He glanced at Flynn and asked calmly, "Do you think you're the king? Do you think you're the law? Do you think you can decide people's lives and deaths however you want?"

Flynn responded haughtily, "That's right. In Oceania, I'm the law. If I want someone to live, they live. If I want someone to die, they die."

Dustin's face darkened. "I'll give your family ten seconds to apologize to my daughter, Queenie, or you'll lose everything." He had lost his patience to play with them.

Flynn initially paused before laughing as if he had heard the funniest joke. Flynn's face was full of disdain. "Punk, how dare you act tough without checking who we are? You're just a poor nobody who can't even afford a house. How dare you threaten me? How arrogant? You can't make me lose everything even if you have ten lifetimes. But it's easy for me to ruin your entire family."

The onlookers around could not help but shake their heads and sigh. They thought Dustin had lost his composure and was speaking nonsense like a pathetic fool. He was only an ordinary man with no significant background, and yet, he dared to threaten the chairman of Flynn Real Estate—one of the top ten billion-dollar companies. It was like throwing an egg against a rock.

"You don't believe me?" A hint of playfulness crossed Dustin's lips.

"Only idiots would believe you," Flynn retorted.

Dustin did not want to deal with Flynn's nonsense anymore. He took out his phone and called Samuel, the chairman of Fire Ocean Group, Vulcan Group's subsidiary in Murica. "Destroy Oceania's Flynn Real Estate as soon as possible. You're resigning automatically if you take longer than a minute."

Yvonne looked disdainful. "Haha, Flynn, did you see him? He's so good at acting, saying he'll take down Flynn Real Estate in less than a minute. He might have been able to fool anyone inexperienced."

Flynn said with a sneer, "Peasants love to pretend. Let's see how long he can keep up the act."

Dustin sighed a bit helplessly. He could easily bring down the economy of a major nation, let alone a small real estate group. Sometimes, poverty could limit one's imagination.

Fifty seconds passed in the blink of an eye.

"Punk, it's already been 50 seconds," Flynn glanced at his watch with a mocking look. Dustin looked like nothing more than a clown to him now.

"There's nine seconds left. Calm down," Dustin replied flatly.

Flynn could not believe Dustin could remain so calm, which irritated him instantly. He snorted coldly and answered, "I think you won't shed a tear until you see the coffin. If I were you, I'd be utterly embarrassed by now!"

Yvonne chimed in, "He has no shame. Otherwise, he wouldn't be bluffing so ridiculously."

Just then, Flynn's phone suddenly rang. He looked at it and saw it was a call from Willy Zuckerbern, the company's general manager. Flynn frowned and wondered why he was calling.

As soon as Flynn pressed the answer button, a panicked male voice came from the phone. "Mr. Langdon, we have a big problem."

"What big problem could be so urgent? Is the sky falling?" Flynn asked, displeased.

"Yes, the sky is indeed falling. Somehow, the hundred-billion-dollar company Fire Ocean Group from Capital City suddenly launched a targeted attack against us. Our company's stock crashed. Our financial fraud, tax evasion, and jerry-built projects have all been exposed, and our credibility has plummeted. Nordian Group, Walsh Group, Goblet Group, and Scarlet Sun Group accuse us of breach of contract and demand tens of billions of dollars in compensation. Also, all the major banks have blacklisted our company and frozen all our accounts. We have no money left. We're completely bankrupt!"
