Chapter 5

Dustin took Queenie into the family restaurant. The restaurant was large and divided into two sections—one half was the dining area, and the other half was a playground. Its main attraction to children was its complete playing facilities.

After finding a seat, Dustin looked at Queenie and said, "Queenie, order whatever you like."

Queenie happily picked out her favorite foods. After finishing her meal, Queenie pointed to a ball pool in the playground and said, "Dad, I want to play over there."

Dustin nodded. "Okay, go ahead. I'll wait here for you. You can play for as long as you want."

Queenie cheered as she ran toward the ball pool.

Just then, Mateo called and told Dustin that the house was ready and sent over the address and the electronic lock's password. Initially, Mateo wanted to pick them up, but Dustin declined. Dustin finished checking the address and password and suddenly heard Queenie's cries. Startled, he rushed to the ball pool.

Standing beside the ball pool, an elegantly dressed middle-aged woman in her 40s was yelling at Queenie, "Where did you come from? You have no manners. How dare you bite my precious son? Watch how I teach you a lesson!"

Queenie's cheek was slightly swollen; the woman had already slapped her once and raised her hand to slap Queenie again.

Furious, Dustin ran over and stood in front of Queenie, slapping away the woman’s hand. He asked coldly, "Why did you slap my daughter?"

The woman’s name was Yvonne Malder. Yvonne was startled and took a step back involuntarily but quickly calmed down and met Dustin's gaze without backing down. "So, you're this little brat's father. You're a brute. No wonder you raised such an ill-mannered child."

Dustin ignored Yvonne and turned to Queenie, asking gently, "Queenie, why did you bite?"

Queenie pointed to a chubby boy about eight years old, standing next to Yvonne. "Dad, I was playing with the balls inside, and he started throwing them at me. I ignored him, but he kept throwing them. I got angry and threw the balls back at him. Then he got mad and came over to hit me. I'm no match for him, so I bit him."

Dustin caressed Queenie's slightly red and swollen cheek and comforted softly, "Don't worry, Queenie. I'll make sure I get justice for you." He then glared at Yvonne. "The facts are clear now. It was your ill-mannered son who bullied my daughter. She just fought back."

Yvonne showed no remorse. Instead, she arrogantly replied, "That little brat is lying. She bit my baby first. My baby is well-mannered and would never bully anyone. Only brutes with no manners like you would bully others."

Dustin's face darkened. "What manners do you think you have? It's normal for children to fight, but you hit my daughter without knowing the full story. Now that we know what happened, you continue to argue. How are you any different from a scoundrel?"

Yvonne felt deeply insulted when Dustin called her a scoundrel. She angrily shouted, "Jerk, who are you calling a scoundrel? You're the scoundrel. You and your daughter are the scoundrels with no manners." She had lost her calm, behaving more like a mad dog than someone with any manners—those who constantly boast about having manners were usually the ones lacking them...

Deadpanned, Dustin said, "Now let's solve the issue of my daughter being hit."

"What do you want to do? Hit me? Try it if you dare. See if I'll make sure you and your daughter die miserably." Yvonne was sarcastic, not taking Dustin seriously at all.

"You're right. I want to hit you." Dustin was unbothered to continue arguing with her and slapped her hard. He would not spare anyone who dared to harm Queenie, no matter who they were.

Yvonne was caught off guard. Her cheek instantly reddened and swelled as she screamed and fell to the ground. Yvonne was utterly stunned, unable to believe that Dustin had hit her. It took her some time to regain her senses. She jumped up and widened her eyes with fury as she barked like a mad dog, "Jerk, you hit me. How dare you! Do you know who I am? Do you know who my husband is?"

Dustin did not want to bother with her nonsense and slapped her again. He never hesitated to handle those who deserved a beating.

Yvonne screamed and fell to the ground again. This time, Dustin had hit her harder, breaking two of her teeth. Losing two teeth was a terrible disfigurement to someone as vain as she was. Yvonne almost went crazy with rage. "Jerk, I'm going to make your life a living hell!" Yvonne glared at Dustin with pure hatred. She now saw him as a mortal enemy.

Dustin seemed disdainful. "Who are you to make my life a living hell?"

"Jerk, don't get cocky first. Do you know who my husband is? He's Flynn Langdon, the chairman of Flynn Real Estate, one of the top ten companies in Oceania. Oceania is the Langdon family's territory. Dealing with a nobody like you is a piece of cake, I'm telling you. Not only will you die, but your daughter and your wife will also die with you. That's what happens when you offend me."

Dustin curled his lips. "It's just a small company that ranked tenth, and yet you're so contemptuous."

Seeing that Dustin was still dismissive of her, Yvonne yelled, "Alright, you've got guts. Just wait and see. I'll call my husband now. Let's see how cocky you are when he gets here."

She quickly took out her phone and made a call. "Boohoo. Flynn, Baby and I were beaten. Come and avenge us."

She regained her arrogant demeanor after making the call. Glaring at Dustin, she said icily, "Flynn is nearby on business and will be here in three minutes. You're doomed."

Two minutes passed in the blink of an eye. Just then, a slightly overweight man in his 40s led four black-clad bodyguards into the restaurant. "Which jerk had the guts to hit my wife and son? Do they have a death wish?"

Yvonne's face lit up with joy. She hurried over with her son. "Flynn, you're here. Great."

"Where's that jerk?" Flynn growled.
