Chapter 4

Maryanne could not bear it any longer. Her body trembled as if poisoned, and she eventually slumped to the ground.

Dustin glared at Maryanne, his face terrifyingly angry. "You wet Queenie's pants with water, didn't you? You monster, there's no justice in this world if I don't kill you." With that, he lifted his right foot and ruthlessly stomped on Maryanne's left leg, instantly breaking it.

Maryanne let out a piercing scream like a pig getting slaughtered.

"Don't kill me, I beg you. Don't kill me. It's Ms. Melissa Simmons who forced me to do this," Maryanne pleaded in panic.

The second daughter of the Simmons family was called Melissa Simmons. She was the daughter of Rosalie's uncle, Kevin Simmons. The head of the Simmons family, Zachary Simmons, liked her very much. Jealous that Rosalie was not only prettier than herself but also better in every way, Melissa had bullied Rosalie since childhood. Now, she did not even spare Queenie.

"Queenie hadn't wet her pants for three days, so I couldn't find an excuse to hit her. I was afraid Ms. Melissa Simmons would be angry, so I wet her pants with water while she was sleeping..."

"You deserve to die, but that wench Melissa won't get away either. I'll make her regret it one day." Dustin's eyes flashed with icy, murderous intent. He stepped forward and ruthlessly stepped on Maryanne's right shoulder, breaking her right arm. Unable to endure the pain, she passed out after screaming.

"Are you really my dad?" Queenie blinked her bright, teary eyes as she looked at Dustin's face.

Dustin asked, "Queenie, is your name Queenie Summers?"

Queenie nodded and answered, "Yes, my name is indeed Queenie Summers."

Dustin asked, "Did your mom ever tell you your dad's name?"

Queenie nodded and replied, "My dad's name is Dustin Summers."

Dustin smiled and said, "That's me."

"That's great! I finally have a father. No one will bully me anymore." Queenie cheered as she hugged Dustin's neck tightly. She was elated.

"Queenie, where's your mom now? Let's go find her."

"Mom is on a business trip."

Dustin frowned. "How could she leave you here alone? Doesn't she know these animals would bully you?"

Queenie answered, "Mom had Mrs. Leeman taking care of me. Mrs. Leeman is so nice to me. She never hit or scolded me and even made delicious food for me, but she was kicked out a few days ago."

Dustin's face darkened again. Melissa had gone to great lengths to abuse Queenie. He had no plans of troubling the Simmons family, but they had gone too far. They could not blame him for being ruthless. He would ensure the Simmons family regretted it for the rest of their lives.

"Queenie, does your mom know you've been getting beaten?"

"No, I didn't tell her. Otherwise, Great Grandfather and the others would bully her again," Queenie replied.

Dustin could not believe that the six-year-old Queenie was already so considerate and always thinking of her mother in everything.

Dustin wiped away the tears from the corners of Queenie's eyes and said, "Queenie, I promise you that no one will ever bully you or your mom again from now on."

"Daddy, can you take me and Mom away from here? I don't want to live here anymore." Queenie looked expectantly at Dustin.

Dustin responded readily, "No problem. Let's go pack your things now."

Queenie cheered, "Amazing! I can finally leave this hell."

Soon, Dustin carried Queenie to a run-down little hut in the back. It was where Rosalie and Queenie lived. It used to be the housekeepers' quarters, but since Rosalie insisted on marrying Dustin, they had been forced to live here. It had been one of the reasons for Dustin's deep sense of indebtedness to Rosalie and Queenie.

"Dad, I want to drink some water," Queenie said.

"Okay, I'll get some water right away," Dustin said as he went to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of mineral water.

Queenie finished it in one go as she was thirsty.

Then Dustin took off Queenie's wet clothes, preparing to change her into a clean set of clothes.

However, Dustin was shocked again after all of Queenie's clothes were removed. Her body was covered with whip marks, shocking and painful to look at. He could tell how terribly Queenie had been abused these past few days. Simmons Residence was indeed like hell to her.

"Melissa, I don't deserve to be Vulcan if I don't crush you. Since you value the Simmons family's fortune so much, I'll make sure you end up with nothing." Dustin felt an indescribable heartache and endless grief and anger as he gritted his teeth.

He planned to help Rosalie get all of the Simmons family's assets, leaving Melissa's family with nothing. He was now ruthless. When dealing with enemies, he would break them entirely with not only physical torture but also mental torment.

Dustin reached out and gently touched the whip marks on Queenie's back. He asked gently and lovingly, "Queenie, does it still hurt?"

Queenie nodded. "A little."

"I'll apply some medicine for you now. It will get better soon," Dustin said as he took out a special ointment made by Vulcan Group. The ointment had miraculous healing properties, capable of removing all scars. It was incredibly valuable—just a single drop was worth tens of thousands of dollars. However, Dustin used more than half of it on Queenie's entire body without hesitation. In his opinion, Queenie mattered the most to him. Therefore, he wanted to give her the best, even his own life.

"Dad, what is this ointment? It's cooling and feels good," Queenie asked.

"This is Miracle Ointment," Dustin replied casually. After applying the ointment, Dustin helped Queenie put on a clean set of clothes.

He found a backpack and packed some of Queenie's clothes and personal items. He decided to leave Rosalie's belongings for now and deal with them when she returned.

After packing everything, Dustin left Simmons Residence with Queenie. He then called Mateo, asking him to arrange a regular three-story house for him to stay temporarily. Despite his wealth allowing him to live in the most luxurious house, he wanted to keep a low profile since he had just returned to Murica.

He also did not want to overwhelm Rosalie as they had not seen each other for five years. He planned to let Rosalie gradually learn about his status and position, making it easier for her to accept.

When Rosalie had a chance to catch up and understand everything, he would then move them all to his new home. He had asked Mateo to build a luxurious mansion combining elements of exotic palaces and castles in Oceania, but it was not yet completed.

Dustin hailed a taxi and got in with Queenie. Half an hour later, the taxi passed through a traffic light intersection before coming to a halt. Dustin then noticed Queenie staring intently at a luxurious family restaurant on the right.

Dustin asked, "Queenie, are you hungry?"

Queenie nodded.

Dustin asked, "Do you want to have lunch at that restaurant?"

Queenie initially nodded but then shook her head. "Dad, the food there is too expensive. Mom would only take me there on my birthday."

Dustin gently stroked Queenie's little head as he said lovingly, "Queenie, don't worry. I have money. I'll take you to eat and buy whatever you want from now on."

"Dad, you're too nice. I love you," Queenie answered joyfully and gave Dustin a peck on the cheek.

Dustin felt an indescribable wave of happiness instantly. Having a daughter was wonderful!
