CHAPTER 71 : BLIND

SELENA'S POV

As soon as I saw Zander standing there, glaring at me and Roy, I could see the visible rage in his eyes, I stood up from the comfortable, cold floor we both sat on and Roy stood up alongside me and we both bowed down.

"Your Highness," we chorused.

He didn't reply, just stood there, glaring at us. And then he turned to face Roy.

"Leave us," he growled, his voice hoarse. Apart from earlier on with Tristan, I hadn't seen him look this way.

Roy looked at me, gesturing with his eyes if he should go. I nodded my head, and he walked away, slowly, turning back every few steps.

I was alone with Zander, and he was staring at me. This was one of the moments I wished he had not perfected his deadpan facial expression so that I could read something off his face. I dared not utter a word, no matter how awkward it was staring at him in silence. I wasn't even staring at him, but I could feel his eyes on me. I lowered my head and gazed at the floor instead.
